MOVIE NIGHT IS BACK

Following up on the success of Cafe Terroni’s Big Night movie and banquet and Roman Holiday we invite you to indulge in the “Dinner Rush”.

See the movie and then stroll to Cafe Terroni and enjoy a 5 course New York style specially themed dinner where our Chefs will create a menu inspired by the movie. 

Please refer to attached flyer and get in early to book your place as tickets are strictly limited. Sunday June 19 and June 26.  $89 includes, movie 5 course dinner and aperitivo on arrival.

The Roman Holiday door prize was drawn at our last lunch on Sunday 31st October.  The lucky winner of the choice of 3 self guided adventure tours of Italy for 2, valued at over $3,000 plus a $200 travel voucher was local Patrick Lauwers.

Patrick and his wife Cryss are regulars of Cafe Terroni and are going to use the trip as part of their planned holiday to Europe next year in March.    They were married in Melbourne and are travelling overseas on their first anniversary to celebrate with their European family. 

They were both thrilled and very surprised to win.

Congratulations and we hope to see some pictures of the amazing adventure.

Following up on the success of Cafe Terroni’s Big Night movie and banquet we are inviting customers to attend our “Roman Holiday” and “Experience Rome For A Day”.

The film will be shown at the iconic Sun Theatre and then guests will stroll to Cafe Terroni where our Chefs will create a specially themed and authentic 4 course Roman Feast.  The meal will be matched with a selection of local and regional Roman wines.

The Roman Holiday experience will be held over 3 Sundays in October – October 17, 24 and 31. 

Flight Centre Yarraville have generously donated a $50 travel voucher to every diner who attends the event PLUS one lucky guest will go in the draw to win an amazing door prize of a choice of 3 self guided adventure tours of Italy for 2, valued at over $3,000 plus a $200 travel voucher - all courtesy of Flight Centre Yarraville.

It promises to be a true experience. A classic film, privately screened in the intimate 40 seat cinema at the Sun Theatre, followed by the Roman inspired 4 course feast (served banquet style) plus the chance to win the tour of Italy.

 "A TAVOLA non si invecchia nessuna." This is the sentimental toast uttered when the Staropoli family gathers to celebrate Easter. It means "no one ever gets old" . Restaurateur Joe Staropoli, from Yarraville's Cafe Terroni, was born in Australia but older members of the Calabrian family — who migrated in the 1960s — have ensured many southern Italian traditions have survived.

Originally from the town of Briatico, the Staropolis at Easter still feast on capretto (baby goat), which is a symbol of peace. It is cooked either "in bianco" (in white wine) or "gratinato" (coated in breadcrumbs).

We were pleased to participate in the Yarraville Long Lunch on the 18^th October 2009.

Now in its 6^th year, the Yarraville lunch is a unique partnership between Maribyrnong City Council, Victoria University (VU) and the Yarraville Traders Association.

The lunch had over 200 diners at 2 long tables situated under marquees in the heart of Ballarat St just outside the Sun Theatre.

Cafe Terroni provided the dessert option which was our famous Tiramisu.  The VU students plated up and served the Tiramisu which was well received by all guests to the event.
